Find account settings in each Uncle Kam tool

Start with the tool you are using. Marketplace practice settings, academy preferences and Tax Plan settings appear in different places, with different controls. Check the tool and account before changing anything.

1. Identify the tool before choosing Settings

Read the product title and navigation. Marketplace has Jobs, Leads and Opportunities. The academy has My Courses, Community and Coaching Calls. The planning workspace identifies Tax Plan or Tax Analyzer in its tool selector.

Use the table below to find the relevant settings surface. The presence of similar fields in two tools does not show that a change will synchronize between them.

2. Use marketplace settings for your practice

In the marketplace, open Settings → General. The tabs are Profile, Availability, Payouts, Calendar, Signature and Badges. Opportunity preferences are a separate entry under Settings.

Choose the tab for the task. For example, appointment hours belong in Availability, while a reusable agreement signature belongs in Signature. Read the resulting saved state after any change rather than assuming another tab was updated too.

3. Locate academy security controls

In the academy, choose Settings → Security. It exposes Change Password and Two-Factor Auth. Change Password contains Current password, New password and Confirm new password fields.

The pictured Two-Factor Authentication panel asks for a phone number and has a Submit button. This is the start of setup. Entering a number alone is not proof that protection has been enabled. Complete the actual verification steps shown to you and check the resulting status.

4. Find Tax Plan settings and keep the scope clear

The Tax Plan Settings page includes user information, report branding, preferences and a Security section. The Security section lists Change Password, Two-Factor Authentication and Active Sessions. Confirm the selected planning tool before relying on a setting.

Do not assume that a password change, two-factor setup or session action in one area automatically affects every Uncle Kam tool. Check each relevant account surface and use Help & Support if the scope is unclear.

5. Describe a settings issue precisely

When contacting support, name the tool, page, control and exact error. Include the time of the attempt and whether the value persisted after reopening the page. A useful description is “Academy → Settings → Security → Two-Factor Auth; the verification step did not complete.”

Keep passwords, one-time codes, recovery codes and full account-security screenshots out of routine messages. A tightly cropped image of the relevant label or error is usually more useful than a full screen of account details.

Give support the issue, not the secret.

Common questions

Are these settings shared across all tools?

Do not assume that. The observed settings surfaces are separate, and cross-tool password, two-factor and session behavior has not been established.

Does the phone-number panel mean two-factor authentication is on?

No. It is a setup panel. Complete the verification flow and check the resulting status in that tool.

Where do I set appointment hours?

In the marketplace, choose Settings → General → Availability. Calendar connections are on the separate Calendar tab.

What should I send support about a security-settings issue?

Name the tool, page, action, time and exact error. Exclude passwords, verification codes and recovery information.
