Prepare for a platform call

Use the Call Center to find the contact, prepare a short agenda, and check call history after the conversation.

Calls → Search contacts
On this page

1. Find the correct contact

Choose Calls in the sidebar. The page is titled Call Center, with Contacts, Search contacts and Call history. Find the intended person and check their name before using the call control beside the record.

The earlier test-account example below shows contact call buttons. If your account instead says No contacts available, clear your search and confirm that the intended client is available to you. An empty list does not establish a problem with your microphone or device.

2. Prepare three useful questions

Fictional bookkeeping call
  • Which months need to be brought up to date?
  • What records or bookkeeping system do you currently have?
  • Is there a deadline that should shape the work?

Write down the purpose of the call and what you hope to agree at the end. For example: clarify the date range and available records, then decide whether a separate scope discussion is needed. Keep your lead brief available during the conversation.

3. Start only when you are ready to contact them

Use the contact’s call control when you intend to place the call. If the browser or product asks for audio access, read the request and select the intended microphone or audio device as applicable. Follow the actual on-screen state to establish whether the call has connected.

A conversation header can also contain a call control for its participant. Check the displayed person before using it. A Video Meeting menu is a different control and may offer meeting scheduling or an instant meeting.

4. Keep the outcome and next step together

After the call, check Call history for the corresponding record. Record the practical outcome in your working notes: what was clarified, what is still missing and the agreed next action.

If a call fails or no record appears, keep the time, contact and exact message you saw. Check those details before attempting repeated calls. A visible call button or history heading alone does not confirm that a call connected.

Common questions

What should I prepare before calling?

Confirm the person, requested service, three relevant questions and the next step you hope to agree.

Why are no contacts displayed?

Clear Search contacts and confirm that the intended contact is available to this account. An empty contact list is separate from an audio-device issue.

Where do I look afterward?

Open Call history in the Call Center and compare the relevant record with the time and contact of the call.
