1. Enter your business and professional details
Open Settings → General and choose Profile. Complete Business name, then review Professional type, Years of experience, State license ID, Website and Phone.
The professional types shown are Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Enrolled Agent (EA), CTEC Registered Preparer, Tax Attorney and Other. Choose the type that accurately describes your qualifications. Entering a type or license ID is not itself a verification decision.
2. Choose your areas of expertise
Areas of expertise is marked required. The available choices are Bookkeeping, Tax Preparation, Tax Planning, IRS Representation, Payroll, Financial Planning and Business Consulting.
Select the services you genuinely provide. For opportunity matching, also configure Services you accept in Opportunity Settings; it is a separate form.
3. Write a useful introduction
About you or your business is marked required. Tell a prospective client who you help, what work you provide and what a first conversation can cover. Use concrete services instead of broad claims such as “we do it all.”
“I help independent consultants organize their monthly bookkeeping and prepare records for tax season. In our first conversation, we’ll review your current bookkeeping process, identify missing records and agree on the next steps.”
Adapt the example to your actual practice. Do not add qualifications, experience, reviews or promised savings you cannot substantiate.
4. Review the address and save
Review Street, Apt / Suite, City, State and Zipcode, then select Save changes. Reopen the profile to check your entries.
The address State field records your address. Do not treat it as a verified setting for the states in which you accept work. Set your weekly appointment hours separately under Availability.
