Pricing & opportunity credits

Understand the cost.
Choose with confidence.

See how opportunity funding, purchase decisions and the platform fee fit together before you pay.

Opportunity access

One prospect. One primary service.

Opportunity charges are separate from the professional service fee you agree with your client. Read the exact price shown on an eligible opportunity before you decide.

Standard

A submitted request.

The prospect completed a website form or booked a meeting. A team call is not required before the opportunity is offered.

Pre-vetted

A conversation first.

Our team spoke with the prospect and confirmed their needs. A booking alone does not make an opportunity pre-vetted.

Planning reference, not a quote. The service-rate reference below is under configuration review. Your opportunity’s displayed amount is the price to review before authorizing a purchase.

One prospect is assigned one primary service and one opportunity charge. The ongoing-services reference is an opportunity charge, not your client’s retainer fee.

Choose your funding

Three packages. Room to grow.

Choose a $250, $500 or $1,000 opportunity funding package. There are no packages below $250. You can purchase additional packages as your practice needs them; $1,000 is not a total-spending ceiling.

Funding package

$250

The smallest available package.

Funding package

$500

A larger amount toward opportunity purchases.

Funding package

$1,000

More funding for your opportunity plan.

$250, $500 and $1,000 funding packages; funding is separate from the weekly cap.

Your funding and weekly cap do different jobs. A package funds purchases. Your weekly budget limits opportunity spending. Additional funding does not authorize a higher weekly cap or turn on Auto-Accept.

Before you commit

Review first. Then decide.

In Review First, read the request and price before accepting. With Auto-Accept enabled, your saved preferences and weekly cap govern automatic purchases. Payment or credits are confirmed before contact details are released.

If you decline or payment fails, the opportunity is not secured. If the result is unclear, check its status and transaction history before trying again.

Client payments

A separate fee for clients we bring you.

Uncle Kam receives a 30% platform fee on client payments for Uncle Kam–supplied clients. This fee is separate from the opportunity price.

Payment-processing and payout fees are separate. Stripe-related charges can depend on the payment and payout configuration, payment method, country, currency and account. They are not included in the 30% rule or in opportunity-credit pricing. Understand payout and Stripe fee layers →
What the 30% platform fee supports. The fee applies to client payments for Uncle Kam-supplied clients. It helps fund client acquisition and matching, shared platform workflows, and client and Tax Pro support. It does not apply to clients you bring independently. Opportunity credits

Know what leaves your balance.

Credits are used to secure opportunities. Simply reviewing an opportunity is a different step from accepting it and authorizing payment.

When securing an opportunity

Check the opportunity price, the credit amount to be deducted and any new dollar payment before accepting.

When buying a refill

Check the credits being added, the exact dollar total, any bonus credits and the resulting balance before paying.

After a refill

Check payment confirmation and credit history. Keep the dollar amount paid separate from credits added.

Review credits received, exact dollars paid and balance afterward.

Clear answers

Common questions

Is reviewing an opportunity the same as buying it?

No. In Review First, opening an opportunity does not purchase it; accepting does. With Auto-Accept enabled, you authorize automatic purchases within your saved preferences and weekly cap.

Are the planning-reference prices what I charge my client?

No. Opportunity pricing is separate from the fee you agree with the client for your professional services. Check the actual opportunity price before purchasing.

Is the platform fee added to the opportunity price?

No. The 30% platform fee applies to payments for Uncle Kam–supplied clients. It is separate from the opportunity purchase.

Does the 30% sourcing fee apply to clients I bring?

No. The 30% sourcing fee described here is for Uncle Kam–supplied clients. Review any separate plan or payment-processing charges that apply to your account.

Is a Stripe fee included in the 30% platform fee?

No. Stripe-related processing or payout charges are separate from the Uncle Kam sourcing fee. The actual fee payer and amount depend on the payment and payout configuration for the relevant account and transaction.

Does pre-vetted mean the prospect will hire me?

No. It means the team has spoken with the prospect and confirmed their needs. You still need to assess fit and agree on an engagement.

What if I cannot tell whether a payment went through?

Check the opportunity status and payment or credit history before retrying. Keep the reference, amount, time and exact message for support.

Know the credit terms before paying

Purchased credits have no automatic expiration. Bonus credits normally expire 90 days after issuance unless the written offer provides another expiration. Credit purchases are not generally cash-refundable for a change of mind or unused balance; limited payment-error, unauthorized-payment, legal and contract exceptions have a review path. Show material purchase terms with the dollar total and separate bonus details before authorization.
